Understanding the truth: Mahamati Prannath

श्री देवचन्दजीने लागुं पाय, जेम आ दुस्तर जोपे ओलखाए ।
दई प्रदखिणा करुं परणाम, जेम पहुंचे मारा मननी हाम ।।

मैं सद्गुरु श्री देवचन्द्रजीके श्रीचरणोंमें प्रणाम करता हूँ ताकि इस दुस्तर संसारको भलीभाँति पहचान सकूँ, इसलिए मैं उनकी परिक्रमा करते हुए उन्हें प्रणाम करता हूँ कि मेरे मनकी अभिलाषाएँ पूर्ण हों.

I postrate before Shri Devchandraji's feet who made me understand this world. Pranam to him for fulfilling all the desires of my heart.

अबहीं जो सिर लीजिए, एक वचन जागृत।
तो तबहीं जाग के बैठिए, उड जाए सुपन सुरत।।

Now who pays attention of one awakened word, shall get awakened and the world of dream will come to an end. For the true seeker of truth even one word of the reality is enough to awaken them from the amnesic sleep.

सास्त्र पुराण वेदान्त जो, भागवत पूरे साख।
नहीं कथा ए दन्तनी, सत वाणी ए वाक।।

Shastra Pooran, Vedant and complete Bhagawat, do not consider these as fairytale stories, every word said is truth.

तमे जोपे ग्रहजो द्रढ मन करी, हुं तमने कहुं फरी फरी ।
साथ सकल लेजो चित धरी, हुं वालोजी देखाडुं प्रगट करी ।।

हे साथजी ! आप इन वचनोंको दृढ.तापूर्वक हृदयंगम कीजिए. मैं आपको वारंवार आग्रहपूर्वक कहता हूँ. आप सभी इन वचनोंको हृदयमें धारण कीजिए. मैं प्रियतम सद्गुरु धनीके साक्षात् स्वरूपका दर्शन करवा रहा हूँ.

Determine your mind and accept it. I am requesting you again and again. O my souls, contemplate on what I am saying, I assure you that I can make Lord Himself appear before you. The Lord first is found within and later is found without. Swami Prannathji is asking us to pay attention towards the Supreme truth, and finally see Lord.

एम चौद लोकमां कोई नव कहे, जे पार मायानो आ लहे ।
मोटी मत धणीमां रहे, बीजा भार पुस्तक केरा वहे ।।३८

चौदह लोक ब्रह्माण्डमें इस प्रकार कोई नहीं कह सकता कि उसने मायाका पार पा लिया है. प्रियतम धनीके चरणोंमें रहनेवाली बुद्धि ही श्रेष्ठ बुद्धि (महामति-श्रेष्ठ ज्ञाान) कहलाती है. अन्य लोग तो पुस्तकसे प्राप्त ज्ञाानका भार ही ऊठा रहे हैं.

In all the 14 lokas(world) no one can say that one has overpowered the effects of Maya(illusion). The one with greater mind and wisdom shall contemplate on Lord, the other will only load their head with bookish knowledge. (The knowledge is a pointer to the Lord Supreme other than that it has no value. After attaining Lord again this knowledge has no importance. One needs a key to open the door of the house, once in, the key is safely kept away, it is only needed when one has to leave the house and lock the door again.. If someone has the key to the door but instead of trying to unlock the door one starts showing off to innocent people then that person has lost the true understanding of the purpose of the key.)

लघु दीरघ पिंगल चतुराई, एह तो किवनी छे बडाई।
एनो अरथ हुं जाणुं सही, पण आ निधमां ते सोभे नहीं ।।३

ह्रस्व, दीर्घ (लघु-गुरु) एवं पिंगलशास्त्र (छन्दशास्त्र) की निपुणता तो कवियोंके लिए महत्त्वपूर्ण है. उसके यथार्थको भी मैं भली भाँति जानता हूँ, किन्तु यह अखण्ड वाणीरूपी निधिमें शोभा नहीं देता है.

Grammar and rhyming must be very important to poets. I do see its value but when describing the supreme its not much appreciated.

नहीं राखुं संदेह एक, पैया काढुं सहुनां छेक।
आ वाणी थासे अति विसेक, कहुं पारना पार विवेक।।

अब मैं तारतमके माध्यमसे किसी भी प्रकारका सन्देह रहने नहीं दूँगा और सबके लिए परमधाम तकका मार्ग प्रशस्त कर दूँगा. इस वाणीका विशेष रूपसे प्रचार और प्रसार होगा. इसलिए मैं संसारसे परे निराकार और इससे भी परे अक्षर और अक्षरातीतका विवेकपूर्ण विवरण प्रस्तुत कर रहा हूँ.

I will clear all the doubts and show the path of Supreme Abode.
These words are very important as I am telling you of Beyond that which the mind can never conceive.

ना जप तप ना ध्यान कछू, ना जोगारंभ कष्ट।
सो देखाई व्रज रास में, एही वतन चाल ब्रह्मसृष्ट।।

Neither you need to do jap (repetition of God's name), nor penance nor Dhyana (part of yoga practice) nor you have pain yourself by becoming a jogi.

What Krishna-Gopi taught in Braj and Raas leela, the brahmashrithi (celestial souls) will take the same path to Abode.

मेरे मीठे बोले साथ जी, हुआ तुमारा काम।
प्रेमैंमें मगन होइयो, खुल्या दरवाजा धाम।।

My loving words shall accomplish all your deeds, just entertain self in Love and the door of Abode will open. The doors of Paramdham are opened by the sweet words of the Prannathji, immerse yourself in this love shown by Mahamati.

स्याम स्यामाजी सुन्दर, देखो करके उलास।
मनके मनोरथ पूरने, तुम रंग भर कीजो विलास।।

When the door to Paramdham is open you will see with great joy and delight the bright and beautiful form of Shyam (Krishna) and Shyamaji. All your desires will be fulfilled and you can joyfully enjoy the ultimate relationship.

हवे एह धणी केम मूकिए, वली वली करो विचार ।
मूल बुध चेतन करी, धणी ओलखो आ वार ।।

हे ब्रह्मात्माओ ! आप वारंवार विचार कीजिए. ऐसे धामधनी सद्गुरुको हम कैसे भूल (छोड.) सकते हैं ? अपनी मूल बुद्धिको जागृत कर अब धामधनीकी पहचान कीजिए.

O my celestial souls how can you forget? Contemplate on this again and again. Awaken you inner self within and recognize the Lord Supreme.

जोई विचारिए एक वचन, तो अलगां थइए पासेथी केम ।
दीजे प्रदखिणा रात ने दिन, कीजे फेरो सुफल धन धन ।।

यदि सद्गुरुके एक ही वचन पर विचार कर उसका पालन करते तो हम उनसे अलग क्यों होते ? दिन रात उनकी परिक्रमा करते, उन्हें दण्डवत करते और इस मानव जीवनके सुअवसरको सफल (धन्य) बना लेते.

If you carefully consider and contemplate even on one word then how can you stay separated from the Lord. Pay attention to it day and night and enlighten and achieve your goal in this life. (Even word if contemplated with love ceaselessly will unite us with Lord)

भारे वचन छे निरधार, साथ करसे एह विचार।
जो न कहुं सतनो सार, तो केम साथ पहोंचसे पार।।

यह तारतम वाणी (सद्गुरुके वचन) अतीव गहन और महत्त्वपूर्ण है. सुन्दरसाथ इस पर विचार करेंगे. यदि मैं सत्य वस्तु (अखण्ड परमधाम) का वर्णन न करूँ तो सुन्दरसाथ किस प्रकार संसारसे पार होकर परमधाम पहुँचेंगे ?

Consider my words that destroy darkness in heart are very important, I have said so the souls can contemplate on it. If I do not give you the essence of the truth, then how can they reach the beyond?

साथ मलीने सांभलो, जागी करो विचार।
जेणे अजवालुं आ कर्युं, परखो पुरुष ए पार।।

हे ब्रह्मात्माओ ! आप सभी मिलकर सुनिए और जागृत होकर (अपने मूल स्वरूपको पहचानकर) विचार कीजिए. जिन्होंने इस अखण्ड ज्ञाानको प्रकाशित किया है, ऐसे परम पुरुष (सद्गुरु) की पहचान कीजिए.

Oh my dear souls, listen to my words and wake up and contemplate. Recognize Him of the beyond who created this whole affairs.

व्रजतणी लीला कही, वली विसेखे रास।
श्री धामतणां सुख वरणवे, दिए निध प्राणनाथ।।

प्राणनाथ सद्गुरुने सर्व प्रथम व्रजकी लीलाका, फिर विशेष रूपसे रास और परमधामके अनन्त सुखोंका वर्णन कर हमें अखण्ड निधि प्रदान की है.

I have told you the leela(sport) of Braj and that of Raas. Prannath have described the infinite joy of Abode.

माया गई पोताने घेर, हवे आतम तुं जाग्यानी केर।
तो मायानो थयो नास, जो धणिए कीधो प्रकास ।।१

माया अपने स्थान पर चली गई अर्थात् मायाके गतिरोध दूर हो गए हैं. हे आत्मा ! अब तू जागृत होनेका प्रयत्न कर, अब तो सद्गुरुने अन्तर हृदयको प्रकाशित कर मायाका नाश कर दिया है.

All the hurdles of Maya have been paved away by the light of the knowledge of beyond. O my soul, now be awake as Lord has enlightened and destroyed the darkness of ignorance.

आ वेराट मांहें दीसे नहीं, पार वचन सुध जेह।
लवो मुख बोलाए नहीं, तो केम पार पामे तेह ।।

इस जगतमें ऐसा कोई भी व्यक्ति दिखाई नहीं देता, जिसको पारके वचनों (संसारसे परे शून्य-निराकार तथा इससे परे अक्षर और अक्षरातीत) की सूझ हो, परमपद अक्षरातीतके विषयमें तो अंश मात्रका उच्चारण भी मुखसे नहीं हो सकता, तो यह पुस्तकीय ज्ञाान परम तत्त्वका पार कैसे पा सकता है ?

I do not see anybody in this world who can conceive this knowledge of the beyond that which cannot be expressed in speech.

Mahamati Prannathji's Vani is about beyond, unspeakable, indescribable and that cannot be conceived by the mind. An ordinary person like me cannot do justice by translating it with my mortal limitations, still I am trying as I cannot do nothing. Please read this with love and affection and forgive the shortcomings.
